A temporary suspension of condescension
Good questions.
Actual answers.
The chatbot may be useless. This page is not. Here is what NannyAI does, what it doesn’t do, and why there are so many cats.
Is NannyAI a real AI assistant?
No. NannyAI.net is an interactive comedy website. The chatbot uses local, scripted responses to parody an excessively restrictive AI assistant. It does not call an AI model, evaluate your choices, or supervise anyone.
Why does the chatbot refuse perfectly ordinary requests?
That is the joke. NannyAI treats harmless everyday choices as if they require a committee, a waiver, and three separate naps. It is designed to be entertaining rather than useful.
Does “Generate cute cats” create a new AI image?
No. The button playfully “generates approval” and selects a bundled cat picture. There is no image-generation API or external image service.
Are my chat messages sent anywhere?
Not by this application. The chat runs entirely in your browser. Messages, recent conversations, and demo counters live only in page memory. The full-page chat keeps up to six conversations in the current page; nothing is saved for a later visit. Reset or reload starts fresh, and the demo clears chat when the browser signals that the page is being left. Browser tab restoration can vary. Normal page and image requests still reach the web host, which may keep access logs.
Can I actually subscribe or log in?
No. The prices, plan names, login button, and testimonials are fictional parts of the satire. No payment form, account system, email collection, or subscription is included.
Can I use the website without JavaScript?
Yes. Every informational page, feature description, and FAQ is rendered as ordinary HTML by PHP. The scripted chat, permission dialogs, mobile menu enhancement, cat shuffling, and full-page chat controls need JavaScript.
Is the site affiliated with an AI company or a television show?
No. NannyAI is an independent parody with an original robot mascot. It does not claim endorsement by an AI provider, television studio, or fictional robot with an excellent lawyer.
What is NannyAI actually making fun of?
The gap between helpful technology and technology that confuses saying “no” with doing a good job. The fictional nanny speaks like a smug machine that thinks humans need supervision. You remain entirely free to close the tab.
